Light skin comes with its own problems, dryness, oiliness and combination. Buy a foundation specifically designed for your skin type, and buy the best you can afford. Use a translucent pressed powder to keep this in place.

Use a concealer a tone lighter to cover imperfections and undereye circles, blending in well and again holding in place with power, a good concealer will last all day.

Pay attention to your eyebrows, they are important, so care for them, pluck, thread or wax. Then use a pencil or brush to colour and shape them to frame the eyes.

Eyeshadows that work best with your eye colour;

Brown – rich golds, coppery tones, nudes and plums look great.

Blue – copper and golds will accentuate.

Greens – violets, purples and greens will look amazing.

Liner should be applied according to eye shape and preference, be careful not to go to strong on paler skins.

Blushers of various tones can be used, pinks look great on pale skins, while mocha or peachy tones suit olive skins.

Bronzer can be applied around the face, but should be carefully applied to avoid the orange look. Dust over the face gently building up colour to give a healthy glow.

Various shades of lip colour should be experimented with, nudes, pinks and coral tones for day, while red, toffee, orange and burgundy really should be left for evening.
